Primary Schools
True to the grass roots philosophy Park Tennis aims to strengthen and broaden its links with local primary and secondary schools.
As a Beacon Site Park Tennis has access within the Lawn Tennis Association and Tennis Foundation for grants to support delivery of tennis for schools. Park Tennis is working with Surrey LTA, the Tennis Foundation , the LTA sponsors, Aegon, Woking Borough Council and the North West Surrey Schools Sports Partnership to deliver more tennis in more schools.
Opportunities extend from day sessions, for example supporting Good Health Days, Summer Fetes or Fun Days, attending school assemblies to full term curriculum or after school tennis.
Secondary Schools & Woking College
Taking advantage of the proximity to Woking Park and its newly renovated courts St. John The Baptist (SJB) school walk to Park Tennis for curriculum tennis sessions and an after school tennis club.
Woking College themselves have two superb tennis courts. Park Tennis deliver a 10 week summer term tennis course to students, whether on a sports course or otherwise. Park Tennis open their courts for the primary and secondary North West Surrey Schools Tennis Competitions, organized by Beth Andrews.
